Classix II is a diverse collection of hand screen printed and digitally printed wallpapers from the archive of Coles Studio, together with a new group of extravagant large scale designs from the iconic Italian designer, painter and craftsman, Fornasetti.
The collection includes:
‘Phoenix’, a 1950s design by Mary Oliver featuring the mythical bird in colour fades and plumage of ochre, flame and silver.
1950s archive design, ‘Venice’ showing a wide panorama of Baroque Venetian architecture on the Grand Canal in black and white.
The majestic ‘New Details of Rome’, which has been restyled and is now much larger in scale. The architectural features include classical portals and ancient capitals of the city.
A large scale mid 18th century floral damask, ‘Chippendale’, one of Cole & Son’s most iconic designs, now hand screen printed in distressed Lapis Lazuli on beaten bronze and chamois on mink.
‘Holographic Spheres’, a new Coles Studio design with holographic imagery.
