Quadriga’s Sensiq Portal makes its debut
17 March 2010 GMT 16:43
Two hotels in the UK have become the first to install Quadriga’s new guest communications portal, Sensiq, designed to improve the guest experience and create new value opportunities for hotels.
The portal is tailored to the specific needs of each hotel and aims to differentiate the in-room guest experience, as well as featuring various marketing and promotional initiatives designed to create new commercial opportunities in line with each hotel’s business objectives.
The 72-room Cadbury House Hotel, part of Doubletree by Hilton, installed Sensiq to create a branded experience in line with its boutique offering. The portal enables the hotel to promote its spa and restaurant facilities and provide a huge choice of on-demand entertainment. Additionally guests can browse the web via the television.
The Ramada Encore London West has implemented the portal in response to guest demands for more sophisticated in-room technology.
Ronald Little, General Manager at the Ramada Encore London West, says: “Guests are used to having the latest technology at their fingertips at home and in the office, and quite rightly expect hotels to keep pace. Sensiq offers them a huge selection of content and a highly intuitive browser-based interface to enable them to quickly and easily access the information and entertainment they are looking for.”
Marc Budie, Technology Director at Quadriga, adds: “It’s a pleasure to work in partnership with these hotels on the very first Sensiq installations, which pioneer a new concept in in-room technology. This goes far beyond traditional TV entertainment and gives hoteliers the potential to improve the guest experience as well as realise new commercial opportunities.”
