Dexter Moren Associates to design two Accor hotels in Abu Dhabi
2 March 2009 10:47 GMT (Abu Dhabi, UAE)
DMA has been appointed to design a hotel complex on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi for Aldar Properties, comprising two hotels and serviced apartments by Accor.
DMA’s design concept brings together three precious stones, joined together by a thin ribbon which encompasses the site and accentuates the elements of nature. This not only informs the external shape of the building, it goes on to inform both the interior and functioning of the building.
The Accor Hotels, Yas Island are formed by a 350 bedroom Novotel, a 256 bedroom Ibis and 54 Accor Adagio Serviced Apartments. The complex will also incorporate an Accor branded Spa and Gym including a squash court.
DMA has also recently submitted planning applications for Arora Hotels for five different airport locations in the UK.
