It is located at Santa Barbara Plantation, a 1,500-acre luxury master planned resort community taking shape along a natural harbour known as Spanish Water, 25 minutes from Curaçao’s capital city of Willemstad. Santa Barbara Plantation will offer a variety of residences and amenities such as the 120-slip Seru Boca Marina capable of accommodating vessels up to 80 feet in length. A homeowners’ beach club will also be available for residents and their guests.
 
Santa Barbara Plantation is being developed by VIDA Group N.V., a real estate development and consulting company with 35 years of experience in creating premier resort and master planned community projects.
 
The new property will be the only resort on the island with 18 holes of championship golf, designed by Pete Dye, and will feature extensive meeting facilities and deluxe amenities. With water vistas on three sides, Hyatt Regency Curaçao will offer Caribbean sunset views and beautiful white sand beaches. The resorts 350-guestrooms, including the hotel’s Spa bungalows and Spa bungalow VIP Suites will enable guests to enjoy large, secluded accommodation with uninterrupted views of the Caribbean Sea on one side, and the inland bay, Spanish Water, on the other.
 
The hotel will have three restaurants, all of which will feature menu items drawn from indigenous ingredients and techniques:
• The Three-Meal restaurant showcasing an exhibition kitchen and featuring Mediterranean cuisine.
• The Swim Pool Bar & Grill offering traditional bar staples with a Pan Latino influence.
• The golf club restaurant, Shor – an American seafood grill centred on fresh seafood presented in a contemporary way.

Other amenities include a 4,500 square foot full-service Hyatt Pure spa, salon and fitness centre; a multi-level outdoor pool; lounge and cabana area; four tennis courts; Camp Hyatt; bicycle and jogging paths; volleyball courts; and a marina offering water sports, diving trips, snorkeling and more. 
The spa will feature four treatment rooms able to accommodate both indoor and outdoor treatments. The StayFit@Hyatt fitness centre adjacent to the spa will offer the most updated Life Fitness equipment and training. 
 
The combination of the rugged terrain of the Tafelberg Mountain, the Caribbean Sea and Spanish Water create the setting for an 18-hole championship golf course. Designed by Pete Dye, the course will measure approximately 7,200 yards and will include a 8,000 square foot pro shop and the Shor restaurant.

The resort features more than 18,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and banquet space.
