The  two properties will occupy a building at 71-85 Orleansstrasse in the fashionable Haidhausen district of Munich, and will operate under a franchise agreement between Marriott International and SV Group, a private Swiss corporation.

The properties will be owned by Orleans 71 Objektgesellschaft GmbH & Co KG, a company owned by Reiss &  Co. Real Estate Munchen GmbH and E&G Bridge Equity Fonds GmbH & Co KG, a private equity fund managed by E&G Financial Services GmbH.

SV Schweiz AG currently has franchise agreements with Marriott in Switzerland for a Courtyard property in Zurich and a future Courtyard hotel in Basel and a future Renaissance Hotel in Zurich.

Residence Inn is Marriott’s second largest lodging brand with nearly 600 properties in North and Central America and the Caribbean.  Marriott has developed a customized version for the European market.

The Residence Inn by Marriott Munich Orleansstrasse will offer spacious suites with separate areas for relaxing, working, dining and sleeping. Each suite will provide a great work desk and chair, kitchenette and the comforts of a modern home. Other amenities will include a resident’s bar/lounge that will offer daily continental breakfast, coffee and beverages during the day and drinks and limited dinner in the evening; wireless internet access; a 24-hour market offering pre-packaged convenience food and take-away for in-room dining; grocery shopping service; and fitness room and sauna.

Marriott International expects to open 154 Residence Inn properties and more than 200 additional Courtyard hotels around the world over the next three years.
