The Westin Wall Centre, Vancouver Airport Opens in Time for Winter Games

The Westin Wall Centre is ideally situated less than four km from Vancouver International Airport, within a five minute walk to Yaohan Centre and a 20 minute Skytrain ride to downtown Vancouver. The hotel incorporates green elements into the design and function. A focus of the design is a "Living Wall" that incorporates 360 living panels consisting of more than 9,000 native plants, which assist in irrigation.

The hotel also has a Green Roof system with a large landscaped area consisting of drought tolerant sedum and ornamental grass with long curved arches to emulate the flight paths and movements of planes from the nearby airport.
