24 May 2010 19:16:25 BST
Marriott International has announced it will open its first hotel in Macedonia under management agreement with DivelopGrupDooel.
The 180-room Skopje Marriott Hotel is expected to open in Macedonia’s capital city in early 2013 and will be located in the heart of the city centre. The Skopje Marriott Hotel will be the first managed, internationally branded hotel in Skopje.
“This is such an exciting project for us and we are thrilled to announce
Marriott’s entrance in to The Balkans,” says Amy McPherson, Marriott’s
President & Managing Director for Europe. “We recently announced our growth goal of doubling our portfolio in Europe and by entering new markets like Macedonia we are able to reach new customers and meet a real need in the market. We are confident the Skopje Marriott Hotel will be a success from day one.”
