Property agent Christie + Co has sold the 181-bedroom Columbus hotel in the Principality of Monaco, to London & Regional Group, one of the largest private property companies in Europe, for an undisclosed sum.
Situated in Fontvieille, close to Monaco’s heliport and just minutes away from the Palace and the Casino, the hotel has become one of the most fashionable destinations in the Principality, since its opening in 2001.
The property’s stylish interior was created by award-winning designer Amanda Rosa and the hotel’s bar and restaurant are both well-established as one of the best places to meet.
London & Regional Group will continue to operate the property as a luxury hotel.
Ian Livingstone, Executive Chairman of London & Regional Group, said: “We are pleased to add The Columbus in Monaco to our worldwide portfolio of hotels which already includes The Fairmont Monte Carlo. This latest investment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the Principality and we plan to further enhance the fine reputation and profile of The Columbus.”
