Zerolab Office design Xi’an Garden Expo Hotel
4 January 2011 05:13:56 GMT
Shanghai based architect Zerolab Office has unveiled plans for a luxury boutique hotel situated in the ancient city of Xi’an between the Chan and Ba river banks.
With some 20,000 square meters of facilities, on nearly 94,000 square meters of site area, this is a secluded sanctuary, with clusters of small pavilions organized in the shape of a flower, it is described by its architects as “the kind of place that only exists in story books…The design is confident and bold, the crisp modern pavilions pressing right up against the water’s edge, the private villas unfolding throughout the compound.”
Accommodations, divided between the main building and the more remote villas within each individual petal, are part contemporary-luxe and classic Chinese. Some villas come with individual gardens and fireplaces.
