Park Hyatt - Dubai

Park Hyatt Dubai offers welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, its spacious, modern interiors displaying an Arabic influence.

The allure of the Park Hyatt Dubai rests firmly in its privacy and escapism. In a city under constant metamorphosis and evolution, the Park Hyatt secludes its guests from the adrenaline-fuelled construction of Dubai, providing a refreshingly calm antithesis to the city's constant state of flux. Situated next to the Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club, this hotel excels in its capacity to relax by unveiling a tranquil oasis to all visitors. Architecturally the hotel encompasses a traditional Arabic style. Typical of late nineteenth century Arabian architecture, the Park Hyatt draws its visitors through arched doorways and domed ceilings into its comforting interior spaces.

Incorporating the Golf and Yacht Club, the hotel's Terrace boasts decadent yet minimalist furniture on classic nautical wooden decking. When the sun goes down, the Terrace becomes the ideal place to sample the hotel's international cocktails by candlelight.

The delicate decor, soft lighting and weighty wooden furniture of the hotel's interior is set upon off-white marble flooring throughout. This decor allows the spatial planning aspects of the architecture to take centre stage. With excellent use of colour, earth tones are used as highlights on a neutral palate. The traditional Arabian architecture would be stained if bold colours were used; instead the hotel uses earth tones in its artwork, fabrics and accessories to compliment the architecture.

All rooms, a minimum of 50m2 each, follow the hotel's design theme, with luxury and comfort at a premium. Dark heavy furniture is a feature on light soft carpet, with soft focus lighting throughout. Neutral earth tones are used again, but in the rooms a layered iridescent effect is achieved. The open plan bathrooms can be inconvenient for some, but the use of wooden blinds gives privacy.

All 225 guest rooms boast stunning views across Dubai Creek from their balconies or terraces. All guest rooms and suites are luxuriously appointed and offer LCD television and high-speed Internet access.

The hotel features 35 suites and eight Park Spa Rooms, which feature a personal massage and treatment area, beauty treatment chair and steam shower. Suites feature a spacious living area and luxurious bathroom with a free-standing oval bathtub.

A selection of six restaurants and bars serve an array of world-class cuisines, featuring wood-fired ovens and open-plan kitchens. Restaurants range from the authentic eastern cuisine of The Thai Kitchen through the modern European 'Traiteur' to the alfresco dining of The Terrace. Five meeting rooms, including an 840-square-metre ballroom, make Park Hyatt Dubai the perfect setting for social or business events for 10 to 800 guests. The Amara day spa offers eight spacious suites, each with its own outdoor terrace, lounge area, plus indoor and outdoor rain showers. There is also a Technogym equipped fitness suite.

As Pablo Graf, general manager of Park Hyatt, explains: "With stunning architecture and design, world-class cuisine, personalised services and excellent facilities, Park Hyatt Dubai is set to become a leading hotel and premier venue in the city."

Ideal for those seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of Dubai, the Park Hyatt offers a calm, quiet oasis in a not-so-quiet city.
