Urgell Penedo Urgell have reinvented Buenos Aires' historic Continental Hotel in a contemporary style fusing European and Latin American cultures.
The 725 Buenos Aires Hotel, formerly known as Hotel Continental, was originally built in 1927 by Alejandro Bustillo in a French style and became a symbol of Buenos Aires architecture. It was regarded as a visual marker for the cosmopolitan status the city had accrued throughout the world. Since March 2006 it has been reborn under a new name and a contemporary style designed by the firm Urgell Penedo Urgell. Capturing the combination of European and Latin culture with confidence, the result is a modern hotel set in a nostalgic relic of 1920s Argentina.
